Job Full Description

Express Employment Professionals of Ames, IA has partnered with a local Story City, IA company seeking skilled CNC Machine Operators to join their team! The main responsibilities in this role will be to perform routine change-overs and operates assigned CNC production equipment. This position starts at $20/hr, dependent on experience!

The ideal candidate should demonstrate accuracy, thoroughness, and orderliness in performing work assignments, while striving for perfection and showing professional concern for quality of work.

Environment:
  • Multiple shifts available! Schedule will be assigned based on experience!
  • This is a full-time, long-term position
  • Locally owned manufacturer of customer components and systems, must be comfortable working in a large warehouse
  • Steel-toed boots are required
Duties:
  • Performs routine machine change-overs by accessing correct program from computers
  • Uses written, known, and established control plans
  • Identifies and makes routine adjustments
  • Measures product accurately using dedicated gaging according to control plan specifications
Skills/Experience Needed:
  • MUST have prior CNC machining experience!
  • Ability to read, write, and follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to make basic mathematical calculations and use decimal numbers
  • Ability to physically move, lift, carry, and manipulate light to medium loads
