Position Summary
The CNC Operator I operates CNC lathes and related machining equipment to produce hydraulic parts according to blueprint specifications. This role ensures parts meet quality, safety, and production standards while supporting a clean, efficient, and collaborative machine shop environment.
Role Responsibilities
- Read, understand, and identify blueprints and required materials for each job.
- Comply with standard work practices and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Meet quality expectations, inspect work for conformance, and initial and date Shop Tags.
- Segregate nonconforming or suspected nonconforming material and notify the supervisor in real time.
- Use various quality inspection tools to verify product uniformity and conformance.
- Perform minor machine maintenance as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Comply with all EHS and PPE policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Two-year technical degree OR a minimum of two (2) years of related machining experience.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment toward shared goals.
- Flexibility and agility in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Consistent attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to perform a variety of tasks safely throughout the day.
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, work around loud machinery, and perform repetitive motions.
