We are seeking an experienced CNC Machine Operator to set up and operate HAAS CNC milling machines to produce high-quality, precision components. This is a critical role requiring hands-on experience with HAAS equipment and the ability to step in with minimal training.
Pay: Up to $25 per hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM (1-hour unpaid lunch from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Set up and operate HAAS CNC milling machines
- Load appropriate metal materials onto machines
- Monitor machine performance and adjust for tool wear, material issues, or calibration problems
- Inspect raw materials for correct type, thickness, and grade
- Measure finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools to ensure accuracy against blueprints
- Identify and report nonconforming parts or production issues to the supervisor
- Perform routine machine cleaning, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting
- Follow all safety guidelines and company ISO quality procedures
Qualifications and Experience- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating HAAS CNC milling machines
- Experience with HAAS CNC mills and lathes is required
- Ability to read and interpret engineered drawings and technical documents
- Strong understanding of machining processes and precision measurement tools
- Basic math skills including working with fractions and decimals
