CNC Machine Operator

We are currently seeking candidates with CNC machine set-up and operation experience for a Machinist/Operator position in Kent, Ohio. You will help produce precision OEM parts for heavy machinery applications, and we’re looking for someone who takes quality and safety seriously.

Join a family-owned company and operate a variety of CNC turning centers. This role includes running production, making setup adjustments, working with G & M Code, and inspecting finished parts to ensure parts meet specifications and tolerances.

Hours
1st Shift: 8:00am – 4:30pm, Monday – Friday

Pay
$20.00 – $25.00/hour, based on experience (Pay is based on experience.)

Key Responsibilities

• Operate CNC mills, lathes and turning centers to produce precision parts per specifications
• Set up tools and fixtures, and adjust machine settings as needed for performance
• Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools
• Perform routine machine maintenance and report any malfunctions
• Load or edit programs using G & M Code
• Load and unload materials while ensuring proper handling and safety
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment and follow all PPE/safety protocols

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or CNC certification a plus
• Previous experience operating CNC machines; turning center experience is a plus
• Ability to use calipers, micrometers, and gauges (inspection equipment experience is a major plus)
• Comfortable inspecting parts for quality and tolerance accuracy
• Strong attention to detail and ability to read technical drawings preferred
• Experience working with G & M Code is a plus

Preferred Education and Experience

• Technical training or CNC certification
• Experience ranging from CNC Machine Operator experience up to CNC Machinist experience (set-ups and programming)
