CNC Machine Operator (Milling)
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines by selecting appropriate tooling, fixtures, and raw materials.
- Load programs and verify machine settings prior to production runs.
- Monitor machine cycles and inspect finished workpieces using precision measuring instruments to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Adjust machine offsets, speeds, feeds, and tooling as required to maintain product quality and efficiency.
- Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections to ensure dimensional accuracy.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary corrections to minimize scrap and downtime.
- Conduct routine machine maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, and basic preventative maintenance tasks.
- Maintain accurate production records, including output, scrap, downtime, and tool changes.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Collaborate with supervisors, quality personnel, and maintenance teams to meet production goals and quality standards.
