PGS Worldwide is seeking CNC Machine Operators in San Diego, California for an approximately four-month onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. These positions will support machining operations involving composite hardware using CNC and conventional machine tools while performing setups, tool-offset adjustments, inspections, and basic machine maintenance.
Required Skills
Experience operating CNC or conventional machine tools in a manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with HAAS controls.
Experience changing and setting tool offsets.
Ability to operate equipment such as mills, lathes, drills, saws, punch presses, brakes, or similar machine tools.
Ability to make basic machine adjustments and support setup activities.
Experience using gauges, jigs, fixtures, or other measuring tools to verify close tolerances.
Ability to follow established machining and quality procedures.
Ability to monitor work for dimensional and quality requirements.
U.S. citizenship required.
Preferred Skills
Experience with basic CNC machining practices.
5-axis machining experience.
Experience machining composite materials or composite hardware.
Experience performing basic machine maintenance.
Experience with numerically controlled machining equipment.
What You’ll Do
Operate CNC and conventional machine tools used to manufacture composite hardware.
Run equipment such as mills, lathes, drills, saws, punch presses, brakes, and related machinery.
Perform basic machine setups and operating adjustments.
Change and set tool offsets using HAAS controls.
Inspect completed work using prescribed gauges, jigs, and fixtures.
Verify dimensions and close tolerances throughout the machining process.
Perform basic machine maintenance as required.
Monitor and verify product quality in accordance with applicable process-control procedures.
Support production requirements while maintaining safety, quality, and accuracy standards.
Work Schedule / Shift
Full-time onsite in San Diego, California.
Friday–Sunday.
3x12 schedule.
Pay
$31.81 per hour.
