CNC Machine Operator trainee

Nesco Resource is a national staffing firm, we have an immediate need for CNC Machine Operators trainee


An entry-level CNC machinist operates computer-controlled machines to manufacture precision parts. Daily responsibilities involve loading raw materials, monitoring machine cycles, measuring finished components for accuracy, and assisting senior staff with machine setups.

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Operation: Load raw stock, press start, and monitor the machinery to ensure smooth production.
• Quality Control: Measure finished parts using precision tools like calipers, micrometers, and bore gauges to ensure they meet strict blueprint tolerances.
• Setup Assistance: Help senior machinists install fixtures, load cutting tools, and perform basic machine offsets.
• Maintenance & Safety: Perform routine preventative maintenance on machines, keep the workspace clean, and follow all safety protocols. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

• Education: High school diploma or GED; vocational or technical training/certification in machining is highly preferred.
• Mechanical Aptitude: Basic understanding of machining processes and a strong mechanical inclination.
• Math & Measurement: Foundational shop math and the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Soft Skills: High attention to detail, strong hand-eye coordination, and a willingness to learn on the job
