CNC Machine Operator

Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a CNC Machine Operator role in Vancouver, WA. Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate CNC Mills, Lathes, and other machining equipment to produce parts according to specifications.
  • Load and unload materials and ensure proper machine setup for production runs.
  • Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance conditions and notify appropriate personnel.
  • Perform basic adjustments to machine offsets and tooling as needed to maintain quality standards.
  • Read and follow blueprints, work instructions, and job travelers.
  • Conduct in-process inspections using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Maintain consistent production flow while operating 1–2 machines simultaneously.
  • Document production activity, scrap, and quality checks accurately.
  • Perform routine cleaning and basic preventative maintenance on machines.
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure production goals are met.
  • Assist with setup tasks or secondary operations as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1+ years of CNC machine operation experience preferred (entry-level candidates with relevant training considered).
  • Ability to read basic blueprints and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Basic math skills, including working with decimals and measurements.
  • Familiarity with measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs regularly (up to 50 lbs occasionally) and stand for extended periods.
  • Willingness to learn and grow in a machining environment.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented setting.
  • Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
  • Must be eligible to work in an ITAR-regulated environment.
