We are seeking experienced CNC Machine Setup Operators to join a precision manufacturing operation in Rochester. This position is geared toward machinists who can independently set up CNC equipment and prepare machines for production.
Experience setting up Haas and/or Mazak CNC equipment is required.

Job Details
Responsibilities
- Independently set up Haas, Mazak, and/or similar CNC machining equipment
- Review blueprints, setup sheets, work instructions, and existing CNC programs
- Install and properly position fixtures, workholding, and tooling
- Set tool and work offsets and establish machine zero/reference points
- Load and verify existing CNC programs
- Perform tool changes and make adjustments at the machine control
- Run first-piece parts and make necessary adjustments to achieve specifications
- Inspect machined parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment
- Monitor machining operations and make offset or tooling adjustments to maintain tolerances
- Troubleshoot basic machining, tooling, and setup issues
- Document production and inspection results
- Maintain a clean and safe machining environment
Qualifications
- Previous CNC machine setup experience required
- Experience with Haas and/or Mazak equipment strongly preferred
- Ability to independently perform machine setups from blueprints and setup documentation
- Strong blueprint-reading and shop-math skills
- Experience setting tooling, fixtures, work offsets, and tool offsets
- Proficiency with micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision inspection tools
- Experience machining parts to close tolerances
- Mazatrol experience is a plus for Mazak operators
- Ability to make basic program edits at the machine is a plus
