CNC Machining Cell Operator — Aluminum Die Cast Components
Location: North Billerica, MA
Your day, at a glance
You arrive at our state-of-the-art North Billerica facility, review your work instructions, and stage parts for the first production run. You load components, cycle the CNC, and keep a close eye on tool wear and part quality. With gauges and basic measuring tools in hand, you verify dimensions and log inspection results. You communicate status to teammates, maintain production pace, and keep your area clean and safe—always following OSHA and Orion Castings safety rules. If you spot questionable material or a machine issue, you stop, flag it, and inform your supervisor. Then it’s on to the next run.
Schedules available
- 1st Shift: Monday – Thursday | 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Four 10-hour shifts)
- 2nd Shift: Monday – Thursday | 4:00 PM – 3:30 AM (Four 10-hour shifts)
Compensation & shift incentives
We believe in pay transparency:
- 1st Shift Target Range: $17.00 – $26.25 / hour (Base wage determined by experience)
- 2nd Shift Target Range: $18.70 – $28.88 / hour (Reflects the $17.00 – $26.25 base wage plus a 10% shift premium)

Core responsibilities
- Load and unload parts into machines and cycle equipment safely.
- Use basic measuring equipment to inspect parts and maintain detailed inspection logs.
- Maintain required production rates.
- Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the supervisor.
- Follow detailed work instructions and adhere to all safety rules set forth by OSHA and Orion Castings policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
