CNC Machining - Production

Position: CNC Machinist – Production Department?
Location:?Fenton?
Pay:?$17-19/hr. Based on experience?
Shift:?6:00am - 2:30pm, OT may be required depending on the daily needs of the shop! ??

Duties:? 

• 
  Setup & Operation:?Independently perform 1–5 setups per day on CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers or lathes. 
  

• 
  Program Optimization:?Make necessary machine adjustments,?at the machine control to adjust tool paths, speeds, and feeds. 
  

• 
  Precision Measurement:?Use micrometers, calipers, and gauges to perform first-piece and in-process inspections to tolerances of? 
  

• 
  Tool Management:?Monitor tool wear, perform tool changes, and adjust offsets to maintain part consistency throughout the production run. 
  

• 
  Documentation:?Accurately complete production logs and quality check sheets.? 
  

• 
  Other duties as assigned? 
  

?Job Requirements:? 

• 
  Experience:?2–5+ years of experience in an active CNC machining role (setup and operation).  Also knowledge of manual machining (Bridgeport mills or manual lathes) is a plus. 
  

• 
  Technical Knowledge:?Proficiency with?Okuma turning centers &?control 
  

• 
  Blueprint Reading:?Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and?symbols. 
  

• 
  Mathematics:?Practical application of shop math, including decimals and basic geometry.
