Picture the start of your day at 6:30 a.m. in our Princeton, IL facility. A crew of 20+ hourly operators and machinists looks to you to set the plan, remove roadblocks, and keep production running safely, on time, and to spec. By 3:30 p.m. CST, orders are on track, issues are escalated or resolved, and your KPIs tell a story of steady improvement. Some weeks, you’ll guide Saturday overtime when demand requires it.
Your mission
- Direct a team of 20+ hourly associates to meet customer schedules, hit productivity targets, and deliver parts to specification.
- Own the daily plan: assign work, provide clear guidance, and supervise execution across machining operations.
- Drive continuous improvement using lean tools; lead Rapid Improvement Events (Kaizen) and strengthen standard work.
- Plan and sequence production in line with business goals, ensuring timely flow to end customers and upstream processes.
- Verify production accuracy and compliance with ISO and internal quality requirements.
- Champion safety; ensure every operation follows established EHS procedures.
- Maintain and publish operations performance KPIs that reflect throughput, quality, and delivery.
- Identify and implement cost-reduction ideas that boost operational efficiency.
- Develop your team through training sessions and coaching; select, grow, and evaluate talent to keep the shop running at its best.
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 6:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m. CST. Overtime on Saturdays may be required based on business needs.
