A precision aerospace parts manufacturer in Holbrook, NY is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to serve as a CNC Machining Supervisor. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing, setting up, operating, and troubleshooting CNC horizontal machining cell systems. The ideal candidate has strong CNC machining experience, is comfortable working in a production environment, and can help ensure efficient operations and quality standards.

Compensation:
Starting compensation is $100,000+ annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
Responsibilities:
Lead the day-to-day operation of CNC horizontal machining cell systems.
Set up and operate CNC machines and machining equipment.
Perform tool changes and make necessary tooling adjustments.
Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and production issues.
Monitor machine operation and production processes to maintain efficient workflow.
Perform in-process dimensional checks using general inspection equipment.
Review and complete in-process dimensional documentation provided by the inspection department.
Prepare completed parts for inspection.
Help maintain quality standards for precision aerospace components.
Support production operations and address machining issues as they arise.
Work closely with inspection and production personnel to ensure parts meet required specifications.
Qualifications:
Experience as a CNC Machinist in a manufacturing or machine shop environment.
Experience setting up and operating CNC machining equipment.
Experience with CNC horizontal machining centers or horizontal machining cell systems preferred.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of cutting tools, tooling changes, and machining processes.
Experience using general inspection and measuring equipment.
Ability to read and follow dimensional inspection requirements.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to work effectively in a hands-on production environment.
Previous lead, supervisory, or foreman experience is preferred.
