CNC Machining Technician

Our client, a precision manufacturing and die casting company, is seeking a Machining Technician to join their team. As a Machining Technician, you will be part of the Manufacturing Department supporting Production, Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance teams. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Machining Technician

Location: Grafton, WI

Shift: 3rd Shift (10:00PM to 6:00AM)

Pay Range: $28.50 to $41.00/hr 

What's the Job?

• Set up and operate CNC and/or manual machining equipment for aluminum die cast components.
• Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and quality issues to ensure parts meet specifications.
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMM data.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance, tool changes, and machine adjustments to maximize efficiency.
• Support production startups, changeovers, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What's Needed?

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.
• Experience operating CNC machining equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and process sheets.
• Proficiency with precision measuring equipment and quality inspection procedures.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and ability to work independently and on a team.
