Machinist - 1st ShiftInova Staffing is seeking an experienced Machinist for one of our clients located in Mentor, Ohio! The CNC machinist will be responsible for producing quality components while maintaining accuracy and meeting production standards.Must have prior machining experince
Shift: 1st 7am-3: 30pmPay: starting at $26-$35+/hr based on experincedResponsibilities:
- Operate CNC mill and lathe machines to produce components according to specifications
- Read and interpret work orders and project requirements
- Monitor machine operations to ensure parts are produced within required tolerances
- Inspect finished components using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools
- Troubleshoot machine issues and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and productivity
- Perform routine machine maintenance to help minimize downtime
- Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean and safe work environment
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Machinist in a manufacturing environment
- Experience operating CNC mill and/or lathe machines
- Ability to use micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring instruments
- Ability to read and interpret work orders; blueprint and engineering drawing experience is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work within tight tolerances
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Technical certification or vocational training in machining is preferred, but not required
