CNC Machinist- 1st Shift

Hiring a CNC Machinist in Chambersburg, PA

This role sets up and operates CNC machines and related equipment within an assigned cell to produce precision components that meet strict quality specifications. You will handle machine programming transfers, tooling setup, part inspection, andpreventive maintenance while ensuring safe, efficient, and consistent production.

Pay Rate: $23-$26.41/hour to start

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines and all other equipment in the assigned cell to produce parts according to specifications.
• Transfer machining commands from servers to CNC modules using computer network links and verify correct program selection.
• Mount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and workpieces on machines using hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
• Stop machines to remove finished workpieces or to change tooling, setup, or workpiece placement in accordance with required machining sequences.
• Lift and handle finished workpieces manually or with hoists and cranes, following safe material-handling practices.
• Measure dimensions of finished workpieces using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Use inspection gauges and other measuring devices to verify product quality throughout the manufacturing process.

Essential Skills

• Hands-on experience as a CNC operator or CNC machinist, including setup and operation of lathes, mills, and related equipment.
• Basic measuring skills and the ability to use precision measuring instruments accurately.
• Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in the production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of CHAMBERSBURG, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.66 - $26.41/hr.
