About the Job CNC Machinist - 1st Shift
We have 1st shift positions available running CNC Mills and Lathes. The rate of pay is based on prior work experience and schooling. Shift hours are between 6:45 a.m. and 3:15 p.m.
Responsibilities:
- Plan each day's machining by studying blueprints, engineering plans, and materials.
- Complete multiple setups daily as our parts are custom-made.
- Analyze information and find the best solutions to problems.
- Program CNC mills and lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points.
- Read and edit G-Code.
- Maintain specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling, and thread chasing operations.
- Adhere to safety procedures and regulations to ensure safe operations.
- Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance.
- Ensure continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions in our internal electronic system.
- Confer with engineers, production, or others to resolve machining or assembly problems.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Ability to operate and program CNC mills or lathes.
- Proficient computer and technical skills.
- Can read blueprints.
- Detail-oriented.
- Team player.
- Self-starter.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience operating CNC mills and lathes in a production environment.
Physical Demands:
- Regularly required to stand and walk.
- Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear.
- Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
- Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts.
- Moderate noise level in the work environment.
