Amphenol Borisch Technologies is currently seeking a 2nd Shift CNC Machinistfor our facility inGrand Rapids, Michigan. The CNC Machinist is responsible for ensuring effective operations by performing the following duties.
Available shifts: 2nd
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Performs Basic setups on all CNC Machines with the direction of the Sr. CNC Programmer.
Effectively loads and unloads part from fixtures in accordance with the applicable Work Instructions.
Monitors tool life and replaces worn tooling when necessary.
Monitors proper coolant and other fluid levels in the CNC Machines.
Ensures that we are maintaining the highest quality standards at all times.
Completes necessary deburring on completed parts.
Observes CNC Machines to detect excessive wear or malfunction.
Proactively identifies opportunities for improving production processes and reducing non-conforming product.
Analyzes and evaluates production issues to quickly and effectively create and implement adequate solutions.
Notifies the Production supervisor of material shortages.
Labels all scrap and re-work as soon as identified and separates these from the production parts.
Maintains organization and cleanliness in the machine shop.
Performs other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Job Requirements
High school diploma or GED
Minimum 2 years Machining experience in a production environment
Proficient reading and understanding blue prints, models and specifications
Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing processes, quality standards and GD&T
Excellent mechanical aptitude and experience working with/on machines and equipment
Excellent problem solving skills
Advanced math skills
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
