Eaton's IS AER FMC division is currently seeking a CNC Machinist - 2nd Shift. The core hours are 3:30pm to 12:00am. The hourly rate for this position is $28.27 + $1.00 shift differential per hour.

Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What you'll do:

Eaton Aerospace Group is currently seeking CNC Machinists to join our 2nd shift team. This position is based in our Jackson, MS facility.

The hourly rate for this position is $28.27 + $1.00 p/h shift differential per hour. The hours for this role are 3:30 pm - 12:00 am. Now offering a $2,500 SIGN ON BONUS.

  • Rotate through each lean cell function and rotation through other lean cells.

  • Perform visual and physical inspection of parts using functional measuring equipment.

  • Apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) know how to detect an out-of-control condition as well as other problem-solving methodologies to ensure quality of product.

  • Interpret and work from complex drawings, blueprints, and specifications.

  • Set up and operate distinct types of machines and finishing equipment (lathes, mills, drills; CNC & Manual, grinders, CNC grinders, laps, hones) without assistance and maintain proper tolerances.

  • Be responsible for returning all tools to their proper location at the end of the shift and cleaning work area.

  • Perform sub-assembly operations such as, installation of pins, plugs, inserts, bearings, miscellaneous components, etc.

Qualifications:

Basic (Required) Qualifications:

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.

  • Machining certificate or Associate's degree in a technical field, OR a minimum of two (2) years of experience in machining.

  • CNC experience with lathes, mills, grinders, manual hone, or lap.

  • No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to read and understand G & M code

  • Prior work experience using hone, lap, and grind equipment

  • Five years of precision machining experience
