Our client is seeking CNC machinists at multiple skill levels to operate precision machining equipment used for complex aerospace and defense components. Final level will be determined through resume review and interviews.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CNC mills, mill-turn equipment, and lathes
- Read GD&T drawings and manufacturing instructions
- Use calipers, micrometers, and metrology equipment
- Indicate vises and establish X, Y, and Z coordinates
- Verify dimensional characteristics of machined parts
- Meet expected cycle times and production schedules
- Complete required production documentation
- Follow established machining and quality procedures
Requirements
- CNC operator experience or completed technical-school coursework
- Three years of setup experience for Setup Machinist consideration
- Blueprint-reading and hand-tool experience
- Ability to prioritize work and maintain production goals
- Strong attention to detail and quality
Preferred Qualifications
- Lean manufacturing experience
- Aerospace or defense machining experience
Compensation
Machinist I: $26.40-$36.00 per hour; Machinist II: $30.00-$48.00; Setup Machinist: $33.60-$50.40. Rates include the 20% shift differential.
