Akkodis is seeking a CNC Machinist - 2nd Shift for a Contract to hire with a client in St. Louis, MO. The ideal candidate will set up, operate, and monitor CNC milling and lathe machines to produce precision parts that meet print specifications and production schedules.
Rate Range: $18/hour to $25/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
CNC Machinist - 2nd Shift Job Responsibilities include:
Set up CNC milling and lathe machines to run parts according to production drawings and tolerances.
Perform in‑process inspections using precision measuring tools to ensure part quality and accuracy.
Monitor machine operations to maintain optimal productivity and meet production schedules.
Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and process issues during operation.
Perform routine and preventive maintenance to ensure reliable equipment performance.
Maintain clean, organized, and safe machines and work areas before and after each shift.
Required Qualifications:
Technical degree or certificate in CNC Machining, Manufacturing, or a related field (or equivalent hands‑on experience).
5-8 years of experience operating CNC milling and/or lathe machines in a production environment.
Strong ability to read and interpret production drawings, dimensions, and tolerances using precision measuring tools.
Proven experience with CNC setup, tooling selection, in‑process inspection, and troubleshooting to ensure quality and productivity.

Pay Details: $18.00 to $25.00 per hour
