Our client is seeking CNC machinists at multiple skill levels for a weekend day schedule producing high-tolerance components. Employees work 36 hours and are paid for 40 hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CNC mills, mill-turn equipment, and lathes
- Read engineering drawings and GD&T requirements
- Use precision measuring and metrology equipment
- Set machine coordinates and indicate vises
- Verify part dimensions and quality
- Maintain expected cycle times
- Complete production records
- Follow work instructions and setup requirements
Requirements
- Previous CNC operator experience or technical training
- Three years of machine-setup experience for Setup Machinist level
- Blueprint-reading and hand-tool proficiency
- Ability to manage priorities and production goals
- Strong quality orientation and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- Lean manufacturing experience
- Aerospace or defense machining experience
Compensation
Machinist I: $22.00-$30.00 per hour; Machinist II: $25.00-$40.00; Setup Machinist: $28.00-$42.00.
