What You'll Do
Set up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes to manufacture precision components.
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T.
Select and install tooling, fixtures, and workholding as needed.
Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring instruments.
Make offsets and minor program adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
Troubleshoot machining issues and recommend process improvements.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Work closely with programmers, engineers, and quality personnel to ensure customer specifications are met.
Qualifications
Ideally 1-3+ years of CNC machining experience preferred.
Experience setting up and operating CNC mills, lathes, or multi-axis machines.
Ability to read blueprints and understand machining tolerances.
Proficient with precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and indicators.
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
Preferred Experience
Experience with Haas, Mazak, Okuma, Fanuc, or similar CNC controls.
Knowledge of G-code and basic program editing.
Familiarity with GD&T and lean manufacturing principles.
Prototype, short-run, or production machining experience.
