CNC Machinist

Specific Responsibilities

• Produces machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.
• Responsible for maintaining quality control of all parts produced on CNC machines.
• Responsible for all the processes of the CNC Machines (Setups, loading parts, operating controls, settingoffsets, simple edits, milling, turning, drilling, taping, all bench operations, and inspect).
• Inspect and measure all in process and finished work pieces to determine conformance to specifications.
• Capable of running multiple machines concurrently, when tasked.
• Report and document any equipment malfunctions to direct supervisor
• Work within the standard operation procedures and job safety parameters.
• Operate one or more machines on a daily basis depending solely on the needs of the organization.
• Basic machine maintenance (oils, coolants in accordance with TPM sheets)

Skills Required:

• 3 – 5 years of CNC Operating experience – Aerospace Manufacturing experience preferred
• Machinery experience in any of the following a Plus:
• Milling: Mazak, OKK, Niigata
• Lathes: Mazak, Puma
• Ability to read and understand specs and drawings
• Ability to operate machine center working within +/- .0005 tolerances, adjust machines accordingly
• Load tool or replace broken insert and adjust offsets accordingly
• Use of standard tool including Micrometer, Height gauge, etc.
• Inspect parts to drawing
• Knowledge of deburring equipment a plus
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
