You’ll produce components for industries ranging from aerospace and transportation to architectural and process machinery.You’ll use your setup skills and judgment at the machine while continuing to build your CNC programming capabilities through varied, custom machining work.What We OfferMaloya has been manufacturing custom metal products in New York for more than 50 years, combining experienced craftsmanship with continued investment in modern manufacturing technology. What You’ll Do
Set up and operate CNC milling equipment and conventional machine shop equipment, including lathes, drill presses, and grinders
Read and interpret drawings, tolerances, work orders, and specifications to accurately machine components
Set work offsets, load tools and offsets, call up and run programs, and make appropriate adjustments at the machine
Measure and inspect work to print specifications using verniers, height gauges, micrometers, and other inspection tools
Inspect finished parts for cosmetic quality and accurately document part quantities and production data
Assist with machine shop equipment maintenance while keeping your work center clean, organized, and ready for production
What You Bring
5+ years of machine shop setup and production experience
Experience setting up and operating CNC milling equipment
Functional knowledge of CNC G-code
Ability to confidently read and interpret prints, dimensions, and tolerances
Experience using precision measuring equipment, including verniers, height gauges, and micrometers
Working knowledge of conventional machining equipment and hand tools
Solid basic math and computer skills
Functional English reading and verbal communication skills
A reliable, detail-focused approach to safety, accuracy, and quality
