We are seeking a skilled and detail oriented CNC Machinist to join our team in Conroe, Texas. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and editing programs on CNC mills and lathes to manufacture a variety of precision components for industrial and commercial applications. The ideal candidate has experience in both production and custom machining environments, strong troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes using Fanuc controls
Perform routine program edits using G code
Machine a variety of components according to engineering drawings and specifications
Support both production runs and custom machining projects as needed
Monitor machine operations and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and quality
Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and programming issues as they arise
Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and GD&T requirements
Adjust tooling, speeds, and feeds to optimize machine performance
Complete setup sheets and maintain accurate production documentation
Run multiple machines while maintaining quality and production standards
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Follow production schedules and support shop workflow requirements
Adhere to all company quality and safety standards
Assist with continuous improvement efforts and process optimization
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
3 to 5 years of CNC machining experience
Experience operating both CNC mills and CNC lathes required
Experience with horizontal and vertical mills, including 4 axis machining preferred
Familiarity with Fanuc controls and G code programming
Experience making program edits and machine adjustments at the control
Experience in production machining and job shop environments preferred
Strong understanding of machining practices, tooling, SFM, and IPT
Working knowledge of GD&T
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Basic computer skills
Strong attention to detail and problem solving abilities
Must have personal measuring tools and basic hand tools
