CNC Machinist
The CNC Machinist operates and maintains CNC lathes and milling machines to manufacture and repair precision mechanical components used in industrial paper production equipment. This role ensures high-quality output while maintaining safety and efficiency standards. Our client is based in Conroe, TX.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and adjust CNC lathes and milling machines based on technical drawings and specifications
- Manufacture, modify, and repair precision components for production machinery
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions
- Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools to ensure tolerances are met
- Perform routine machine maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor adjustments
- Troubleshoot machining issues and report equipment or quality concerns to supervisors
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with safety standards
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 2+ years of CNC machining experience (lathe and/or mill preferred)
- Ability to read blueprints and understand tolerances
- Experience with precision measuring tools
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy materials
Preferred Skills
- CNC machine setup and changeover experience
- Basic knowledge of G-code and program adjustments
- Experience working with industrial equipment or heavy machinery
