HiFyve is hiring a CNC Machinist in the Aerospace & Precision Manufacturing industry in Winsted, CT!
Salary: $25-$40/hour, based on shift and experience
Shift: All Shifts
Location: Winsted, CT
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Set up and operate 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC mills and lathes
- Machine complex aerospace-grade and precision components to tight tolerances
- Interpret advanced blueprints and GD&T callouts to ensure accurate production
- Adjust tooling, offsets, and machining parameters to maintain part quality and precision
- Perform in-process inspections and final quality validation using precision measurement tools
- Troubleshoot machining issues and optimize setups for efficiency and consistency
- Collaborate with engineering and programming teams on process improvements
- Maintain a strong focus on minimizing scrap, rework, and production downtime
Education Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Technical training or machining certification preferred
- Additional CNC machining coursework or apprenticeship experience is a plus
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Minimum of 3 years of CNC machining experience in a precision manufacturing or aerospace environment
- Strong hands-on experience with multi-axis machining
- Ability to confidently read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
- Experience working with controls such as Fanuc, Haas, Okuma, Makino, and/or Mitsubishi
- Strong inspection skills using precision measuring instruments
- Detail-driven mindset with a strong commitment to quality and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a high-performance team
- Willingness to work any shift as needed
