- High level CNC Machining experience at aerospace precision tolerances
- Experience in the set up and operation of multi axis CNC machinery, 4/5 axis preferred
- Ability to understand complex GD&T drawings
- Experience performing manual inspections of produced parts

FULL DESCRIPTION: Position is focused primarily on the setup and operation of a multi-spindle, multi-turret lathe. Applies inspection techniques to monitor the CNC process. Collaborates with colleagues to maximize productivity in the precision manufacturing of the highest quality valves & actuators for aerospace and power generation customers.
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Read and interpret complex blueprints, shop travelers, and operation sketches for machined and/or fabricated parts.
- Inspect parts to specifications and document results.
- Installing fixtures and setting work offsets.
- Using an offline tool pre-setter, prepare and set tools needed for machining operations.
- Accurately and efficiently diagnose deviations and trends; adjust offsets to maintain quality product based on the analysis.
- Report machinery, tooling or quality issues to supervisor.
- Run multiple machine centers as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
The selected candidate will also possess:
- This position requires either a US Person (as defined in applicable export regulations) or a non-US person who is eligible to obtain required export authorization.
- Experience in set-up and operation of multi axis CNC machinery: 3 axis lathes minimum; 4/5 axis horizontal mills and pallet line experience a plus.
- High School Graduate or equivalent; technical certification or degree a plus.
- Ability to work from complex drawings containing GD&T.
- Ability to perform accurate manual inspections of parts produced.
- Solid understanding of G-code. Ability to program machines a plus.
- Experience with low volume, high mix production a plus.
