Schedule: 1st Shift (6:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday-Friday, some Saturdays)

Position Overview

Engauge is seeking an intermediate-level CNC Machinist with strong machine operation and setup experience to join our client's team. This role focuses on setup, machine operation, and quality inspection on HAAS Vertical Milling Centers and similar CNC equipment, including 5-axis and 3+2 axis machining operations. CNC programming is not required, making this position ideal for machinists who excel in setup, offsets, tooling, and part validation in a production environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC machines, primarily HAAS Vertical Milling Centers, for precision parts production.

  • Perform machine setups including tooling, fixturing, offsets, and verification of workholding.

  • Operate and support machining processes involving 5-axis and 3+2 axis machining setups when required.

  • Conduct quality inspection using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, indicators).

  • Interpret blueprints, work orders, and engineering drawings to ensure parts meet specifications.

  • Adjust feeds, speeds, and tooling to optimize machining processes and part quality.

  • Maintain CNC machines and work areas in a clean, safe, and organized manner.

  • Collaborate with production teammates and supervisors to meet daily production schedules.
Qualifications

  • 3-4+ years of hands-on CNC machining experience, preferably with HAAS controls.

  • Experience performing machine setups, tooling changes, and part inspections.

  • Exposure to or experience with 5-axis or 3+2 axis machining environments preferred.

  • Experience with offsets and first-piece inspection reporting.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

  • Comfortable using precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).

  • Strong communication skills and team-oriented attitude.

  • Reliable attendance and commitment to safety and quality standards.
