CNC Machinist Opportunity

You'll be working for a manufacturer that builds critical components for aircraft and defense systems. This site has been part of its community for more than a century and produced the first ever positive displacement pump for high performance piston aircraft engines. It's a hands on, shop floor environment based in Elyria, Ohio, fully onsite.

If you have previous CNC Mill or CNC Lathe set-up and operation experience, and a drive to learn and grow with a company long-term, this position could be the perfect fit.

Type of hire: Full time, Direct hire

CNC Machinist responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC machines to process parts through machining and related operations
• Make corrections to program settings, tooling, and machine setup as needed
• Inspect your own work using gauges to confirm it meets blueprint and quality standards
• Read and interpret blueprints, detail sheets, and manufacturing outlines
• Keep accurate records and documentation on completed work

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 3:00pm - 11:30pm
• The first 90 days of training take place on 1st shift, 6:30am - 3:00pm
• Some overtime is required during the week or on weekends, including occasional Saturdays.

CNC Machinist requirements:

• 2+ years of CNC machining experience with setup and operation (mill or lathe)
• Comfortable making basic program edits and offsets
• Able to read blueprints and use measuring gauges to inspect your own work
• High school diploma or GED
• Must be ITAR Compliant

Compensation:

• $36-38/hr
• Shift differential
