Responsibilities:- Set up and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, or both) according to specifications.
- Load raw materials, perform machine adjustments, and monitor machining operations.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
- Adjust machine settings to maintain tight tolerances and part quality.
- Perform basic preventative maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Complete production reports, logs, and quality documentation accurately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area following company safety standards.
- Work closely with supervisors, quality teams, and fellow machinists to meet production goals.
- Troubleshoot minor machining issues and escalate complex problems to leads or supervisors.
Requirements:- High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certifications in machining preferred.
- Previous experience operating CNC machines (mills, lathes, or similar equipment).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, setup sheets, and inspection instructions.
- Strong understanding of machining principles, tools, feeds, speeds, and materials.
- Proficiency with precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gauges).
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Ability to stand, lift, and move materials during the shift (up to 50 lbs).
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a production team.
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and contribute to a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
