Job Type: Contract-to-Hire
Schedule: Full-Time | 1st Shift
Compensation: $65,000 - $90,000 annually ($31.25 - $43.25/hour)

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced CNC professional to support machining operations through fixture setup, tooling support, machine changeovers, and CNC equipment maintenance. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, troubleshooting machining processes, and ensuring CNC equipment is properly set up and operating efficiently.
The role will support a variety of CNC mills, lathes, Bridgeports, and related machining equipment while working closely with manufacturing and engineering teams to improve tooling and fixturing processes.

Responsibilities:
  • Set up, tear down, and support CNC machining centers for production and engineering activities
  • Build, repair, modify, and maintain CNC fixtures, tooling, and work holding equipment
  • Troubleshoot fixture and machining issues to minimize downtime and improve performance
  • Perform machine changeovers and setup verification
  • Support CNC mills, lathes, Bridgeport machines, and other machining equipment
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications
  • Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to improve machining processes and fixture designs
  • Assist with machine maintenance and equipment upkeep
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment
Qualifications:
Required:
  • Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience
  • Strong experience setting up and breaking down CNC machines
  • Experience building, repairing, and troubleshooting fixtures and tooling
  • Hands-on experience with CNC mills, lathes, Bridgeports, and similar machining equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Preferred:
  • Experience with ProTrak, SurfCAM, or similar CNC programming software
  • CAD experience for fixture, tooling, or workholding design
  • Experience supporting prototype, custom, or low-volume manufacturing environments
  • Technical school, apprenticeship, or machining certification
