Job Title: CNC Machinist 3rd Shift 
Location: Fully Onsite in Farmington, CT 
3rd Shift: 11:00pm - 7:30am
Type: Direct Hire
Salary: $25-30 per hour Plus Excellent Benefits

Position Overview
We're looking for a skilled CNC Machinist to join a growing precision manufacturing team producing high-quality components for demanding aerospace applications. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced machinists who take pride in precision, craftsmanship, and continuous improvement.

In this role, you'll set up and operate CNC and EDM equipment, make machine adjustments, inspect finished parts, and ensure products meet strict quality standards. Experience with EDM or Makino Fast Hole equipment is a plus, but experienced CNC machinists looking to expand their skill set are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC and EDM machines using established programs, fixtures, and manufacturing methods.
  • Make machine edits, offsets, and adjustments to ensure parts meet blueprint and work order specifications.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of feeds, speeds, cutting tools, and machining best practices.
  • Perform in-process and final dimensional inspections using precision measuring equipment.
  • Produce quality parts while meeting production and efficiency goals.
  • Accurately complete production documentation, including counts, scrap, and labor reporting.
  • Maintain machines, tooling, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
  • Complete operator maintenance and equipment inspection checklists.
  • Train and assist other machinists as needed.
  • Troubleshoot machining or process issues and collaborate with team members to resolve production challenges.
  • Follow OSHA, environmental, and company safety procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support production and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 4+ years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience setting up and operating CNC machining equipment required.
  • Experience with EDM, Makino Fast Hole equipment, or aerospace manufacturing is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and manufacturing documentation.
  • Understanding of machining fundamentals, cutting tools, feeds, and speeds.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement principles is a plus.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and manufacturing ERP systems (JobBoss preferred).
Work Environment
This position is performed in a manufacturing facility and may involve:
  • Exposure to moving machinery and mechanical equipment.
  • Moderate to high noise levels.
  • Exposure to vibration, cutting fluids, oils, dust, fumes, and other manufacturing-related conditions.
  • Indoor production environment with varying temperatures.
