    Description

    Position Title: CNC Machinist

    Department: Model Shop

    Location: Fenton, MO

    Reports To: Manufacturing Engineering Manager

    Classification: Hourly - Non-Exempt

    Shift: Monday-Thursday 5AM-3pm OR Monday - Friday 6am-2PM

    Position Summary:

    The primary function of this Machinist position is to work with the Manufacturing Engineering Group to make components for a wide range of unique equipment used in our manufacturing and assembly process.

    Essential Job Duties:

    • Program and Set-up CNC Mazak lathes
    • Ability to make offsets, change and reset tools
    • Inspect and ensure that all dimensions are within print specification
    • Complete required documentation with accurate information
    • Perform daily preventative machine maintenance
    • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area

    Required Education:

    • High School Diploma/GED
    • Formal Machinist training with certificate and/or previous experience

    Required Experience/Skills:

    • 1-3 years previous experience with manual and CNC Mazak lathes
    • Extensive knowledge of Mazak equipment and Mazatrol programming
    • Excellent blueprint reading skills
    • Understanding of cutting tools, speeds and feeds, and machining techniques
    • Ability to use precision measuring devices
    • Understanding of G and M code
    • Aptitude to learn pertinent software
    • Ability to work individually and as part of a team

    Work Environment

    • Will be exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, oils, and chemicals in a loud manufacturing environment
    • Will be standing on concrete the entire shift
