CNC Machinist (Finish Turn Operator)- Lima

Superior Forge & Steel Corporation is currently hiring a Finish Turn Operator for our operation in Lima OH.

The Finish Turn Operator is a member of our Machining Department responsible for operating a CNC lathe to machine our forged rolls.

Competitive wages starting at 24.20hr with the opportunity for higher compensation based on experience and skills.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate lathe and controller
• Inspect forging roll report any deviation from specification
• Machine forging roll to specification
• Preventative maintenance on lathe
• Perform other department duties as assigned

Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions:

• Must be capable of lifting up to 60 lbs. occasionally throughout shift
• Exposed to seasonal temperature changes
• Manufacturing environment with noise, dust, and vibration

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Previous CNC or machining experience preferred but not required
• Previous experience operating manufacturing equipment and/or heavy machinery preferred
• Must be able to read/interpret blueprints
• Good math skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Basic problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Must be able to pass criminal background check and drug screen

Classification: Hourly
