CNC Machinist

SUMMARYThe CNC Machinist is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring CNC machines and ensuring machined parts meet quality, dimensional, and customer specifications. The position also performs grinding, assembly, soldering, and bonding tasks.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Maintains high-quality standards through precise measurements and adjustments to manufacturing processes.Must be willing to learn multiple CNC machines and inspection stations.Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized workstation.Willing to learn the manufacturing processes.Meet standard production output requirements.Implement continuous improvement ideas and suggestions and demonstrate support for the Continuous Improvement System.Maintain and promote a safe working environment by following safety rules and policies. Also, maintain and promote 5S.Contribute to the establishment of crucial quality systems.Assist in the development of inspection systems and methods.Effective teamwork and communication with fellow team members

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent required.2+ years of CNC machining experience.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.Conversational in any other language preferred.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Basic arithmetic: add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

JOB SKILLS

Beginner in MS OfficeKnowledge of ERP systems, SAP preferred.Ability to learn and apply advanced technical concepts.Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems with limited information.Able to communicate effectively with management and co-workers to promote strong working relationships and create an environment focused on teamwork.Flexible with work and job assignments and willing to perform any function.Must be dependable and available to work overtime when required.Excellent blueprint reading skills, including GD&T per standard.Ability to use precision and portable coordinate measuring equipment to take accurate measurements

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS

ASTM F-2412-2005, ANSI Z41-1999, or ANSI Z41-1991 rated safety toe shoes in specific areas.Clear ANSI Z87.1 safety-rated glasses in specific areas.Hearing protection in specific locations.Ability to compile with JSA in specific areas.
