CNC Machinists 1st and 2nd shift (21.00 - 23.00/hr)

Premier manufacturing company in Gainesville has immediate openings for experienced CNC machinists on 1st and 2nd shift.

Job Description
  • Operate manual machines and CNC machines, including mill, lathe, drill press, and other equipment efficiently and safely
  • Deburr finished parts as needed
  • Read blueprints, work from layouts and dimensions on drawings to perform assigned tasks
  • Load, align, and operate machines per instructions
  • Utilize micrometers, vernier calipers, and hand tools
  • Monitor machines for problems and trouble shoot problems
  • Check raw materials for quality and quantity ahead of loading into machine
  • Prepare raw materials to be loaded into the machine
  • Prepare tooling for changeovers and perform machine changeovers
Minimum Qualifications / Skills•
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 3 years of experience as a machinist
  • Ability to understand CNC programs
  • Ability to edit CNC programs with Manufacturing Assistance
  • Working knowledge of CNC and manual equipment
  • Understanding of GD&T and blueprint reading
Shift:
  • Monday - Thursday 10 hour shifts. 1st shift and 2nd shift openings with opportunity for overtime as available or required.
  • 2nd Shift offers a pay differential

Candidates will undergo background and drug screening, employment verification, educational verification (diploma required). Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for 10 hour shifts. Steel toed boots or shoes required.
