CNC Machinist I (Lathe Operator)

Olive Recruiting is looking for an machinist to work with our client in Milwaukie, OR. The ideal candidate is someone with prior CNC machining using a Lathe in precision manufacturing. Full time, direct hire, 1st shift opportunity,  Great benefits and growing company!  

Responsibilities:

• Manufacture parts using a CNC lathe
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations and setup requirements
• Be able to starts and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjusts machine controls as required
• Must be able to select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills and lathes
• Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot any issues that arise during the manufacturing process

Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of Fanuc/Mitsubishi controls
• Experience with various metals including aluminum and steel
• Strong math skills, computer skills, and Microsoft Office are a must.
• 3+ years of experience in CNC machining
