Aventure Staffing is currently seeking a CNC Machinist III for a growing manufacturing company around the Cherokee, IA area. Key Responsibilities:
- Verify cycle times on all jobs and report discrepancies to the Crew Chief while documenting changes on travelers.
- Verify and set gauges using known standards and ensure gauges meet inspection sheet requirements.
- Ensure all machine safety devices are in place and functioning properly.
- Inspect machines and work areas to maintain safe and efficient operation.
- Operate CNC machinery following established safety and quality standards.
- Make routine machine offsets and determine when insert changes are needed.
- Change inserts, tooling, and work-holding fixtures as directed.
- Assist with machine setups under the direction of the Machinist or Crew Chief.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or apprenticeship preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of CNC machining experience or an equivalent combination of education and training.
- Strong understanding of machining processes, materials, and tools.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges).
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Standing for extended periods.
- Manual dexterity and attention to detail.
