Busy CNC shop west of Oconomowoc is looking to add machinists on all shifts and is open to any skill level from Trainee to Skilled Machinist.  Company is willing to train entry level candidates!  This is a great opportunity to train on the job in an air conditioned shop with generous benefits.  Starting pay for candidates with no experience is $20 per hour on 1st shift ($23 on 2nd or $25 on 3rd).  Based on experience, starting base pay ranges from $20 -$30 per hour based on experience.

Shift hours and shift premiums are as follows:

1st<\/sup> shift: 6AM -2PM M -F<\/span>
<\/div>

<\/div>

2nd<\/sup> shift: 2PM -10PM M -F (15% shift premium)<\/span>
<\/p>

3rd<\/sup> shift: 10PM -6AM Sun -Thurs (25% shift premium)<\/span>
<\/div>

Training for all shifts is done on 1st<\/sup> shift, so candidates must be able to train 6AM to 2PM, Monday through Friday.<\/span>

Requirements<\/h3>

 POSITION DUTIES:<\/u><\/b><\/span>
<\/p>

  • Entry level candidates should have solid basic math skills and be mechanically inclined.<\/li>
  • Run equipment and all associated operations with maximum workstation efficiency, which includes making quality parts with minimal scrap, achieving posted rates, and recording minimum indirect labor hours.<\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Inspect parts manufactured by using required gages, or gages provided, to requirements which include, but are not limited to, routing requirements, drawing dimensions, quality plan dimensions and SPC chart tracking.<\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Perform posted maintenance on equipment as required.<\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Maintain paperwork and documentation and verify for correctness, while reporting errors to supervisor.<\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Utilize provided documentation (setup sheets, quality plans, and routings), to gather and organize all equipment needed (fixtures, lathe jaws, drill presses, tooling, inserts, etc.) to be able perform setups in a minimum amount of time.<\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Perform setups within posted rates with minimal scrap, and minimum machine spindle down time.<\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Understand and follow general shop practices as defined in the employee handbook.<\/span>

  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.<\/span>
