Description for CNC Machinist:
- Independently configure, set up, adjust tooling for, and operate the Amada PMH1308 CNC Plate Mill cleanly.
- Process high-value specialty metals, exotic alloys, stainless steels, and nickel configurations to exact aerospace specifications.
- Perform meticulous dimensional quality control checks on finished parts using precision calipers, micrometers, and indicators.
- Carefully analyze and interpret structural shop drawings, fabrication schematics, and detailed work instructions.
- Manage the daily preventative maintenance and orderly cleaning of designated milling equipment and fluid lines.
- Enforce a zero-shortcut safety culture, respecting close machine boundaries and wearing all required PPE.
Details for CNC Machinist:
- Pay Rate: $25.00 / hour starting base wage (Wages scale cleanly based on Depth of Experience / DOE).
- Schedule: Monday – Friday (Enjoy a consistent weekday routine with your weekends completely free!).
- Shift Progression:Full-Time hours with comprehensive paid training.
- Training Phase: Day Shift | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Permanent Phase: Swing Shift | 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM (Transition follows successful completion of training).
- Location: Local Cowlitz County aerospace facility.
- Position Type: Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire path featuring long-term industry stability.
Requirements for CNC Machinist:
- Minimum of 3+ years of verifiable commercial CNC machining, tooling setup, and editing experience.
- Proven, hands-on background operating CNC milling machines or large-scale industrial machining equipment.
- Demonstrated capability to confidently read and interpret complex shop drawings, technical prints, and mechanical blueprints.
- Solid basic math and spatial computation skills with high attention to detail to handle high-value materials safely.
- Exceptional history of daily attendance, prompt punctuality, and reliable personal transportation habits.
