CNC Machinist

CNC Machinist – 2nd or 3rd shift
Location: Ladson, SC
Compensation: $27.00/hr + $1.00/hr shift differential
Contract-to-Hire | Paid Holidays After 30 Days

Johnson Service Group (JSG), a nationally recognized recruiting firm, is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist for a highly reputable manufacturing client in Ladson, SC. This is an excellent contract-to-hire opportunity for individuals with prior CNC machining experience who are looking to join a stable organization with long-term career potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up CNC machines, including tool changes, in accordance with work instructions, specifications, and standard operating procedures.
• Select, position, and securely fasten tooling using clamps, wrenches, and other appropriate equipment.
• Calculate material removal requirements and machine offsets.
• Set and use gauges to measure outside diameter (OD), inside diameter (ID), 3-point race measurements, and offsets.
• Adjust machine controls to ensure proper operation and product quality.
• Perform quality inspections and verify finished parts meet specifications.
• Complete production documentation accurately to maintain quality and traceability.
• Cross-train and operate multiple CNC machines as needed.
• Support departmental productivity and quality goals.
• Maintain a safe work environment while following all plant safety policies and PPE requirements.

Qualifications:

• Previous CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
• Ability to accurately complete production paperwork and documentation.
• Comfortable using or learning precision measuring instruments and gauges.
• Ability to determine whether machinery is operating within required specifications.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.

Schedule & Compensation:

• 2nd Shift Hours: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM 
• 3rd Shift Hours: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM
• Pay: $27.00/hour + $1.00/hour shift differential
• Contract-to-Hire
• Paid holidays after 30 days
