CNC Machinist Lathe

JSG is hiring a CNC Machinist (LATHE)- 1st or 2nd shift in Simi Valley, CA. 

Pay rate: $30-$36 - $2 shift differential 
 

Position Summary:

The candidate will be required to set-up, operate, and adjust CNC machines, Lathes and/or Mills.  Work from drawings and written instructions to create parts. May need to make offsets to programs on CNC Machines.  

Job Responsibilities:

• 5+ years experience operating CNC Lathes and/or Mills
• Responsible for all phases of part operations, maintains part conformance per sketch and drawing requirements.
• Perform and maintain accurate in-process quality inspection and records.
• Identify and recommend process improvements that reduce part quality variation.
• Input data into visual management forms and convey results to management.
• Continuously improve processes, procedures, and eliminate waste.
• Skilled in the use of indicator, gage, dial bores, and plate inspection methods for first article and in-process inspection of precision machined parts.
• Ability to maintain close tolerances (within .0003”), hold .0003 profile, roundness.
• Ideal candidate will have experience with AS9100, 5S, Lean, and Six Sigma
• Per ITAR requirements, must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card Holder)
