CNC Machinist Lead

Location: Orchard Park, NY
Pay Rate: $30.00 - $36.00/hour (Based on experience)

Schedule: 2nd Shift | Monday - Thursday | 4:00 PM - 2:30 AM

Our client, a growing manufacturing company in Orchard Park, is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist Lead to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled CNC professional who enjoys hands-on machining while also providing technical support, training, and leadership to a production team.

The ideal candidate will have strong CNC programming, setup, and operation experience, along with the ability to troubleshoot issues, maintain quality standards, and help drive process improvements.

Responsibilities:

• Program, set up, and operate CNC equipment to meet production and quality goals
• Perform machine setups, adjustments, and troubleshooting as needed
• Utilize inspection equipment including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMM equipment to verify tolerances
• Monitor production output, machine performance, scrap levels, and overall department efficiency
• Assign jobs and machines to team members based on production requirements
• Provide technical guidance and support to CNC operators
• Train, coach, and mentor team members to improve skills and performance
• Promote a positive team environment focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement
• Assist with shift communication and effective handoffs between teams
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and support implementation
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
