CNC Machinist / Manual Machinist - Cleveland, OH - JOB 26-00598

Pay Range: $25.00 - $30.00/HR Full-Time Permanent Position with Benefits
First Shift: 7am – 4pm (M-F)

In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, laying out, and operating various manual and CNC machining equipment to produce high-precision parts. You will interpret engineering blueprints, select appropriate speeds and feeds, perform precise quality measurements, and maintain a safe, efficient work environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up, Client out, and competently operate manual and/or CNC equipment, including engine lathes, boring mills (vertical or horizontal), cylindrical and surface grinders, and Bridgeport mills.
• Read, interpret, and follow complex blueprints and technical drawings to determine exact machining specifications.
• Calculate and adjust optimal speed and feed rates based on material, tooling, and machine capabilities.
• Accurately measure machined parts during and after production; log and record all dimensional measurements to ensure strict quality standards.
• Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and upkeep on assigned machinery and maintain a safe, clean work area.

Requirements

• Proven hands-on experience as a Manual or CNC Machinist in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated competency operating engine lathes, vertical/horizontal boring mills, surface/cylindrical grinders, or Bridgeport mills.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.
• Skilled in using precision measuring tools, including micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and bore gauges.
• Strong spatial awareness, math skills, and physical stamina required for setup and continuous machine operation.
