Job Overview:

We are seeking quality, driven, and self-motivated CNC Machinists from entry-level to expert-level for positions within our family-owned business. Qualified candidates will set up, program, and operate CNC lathes and mills to produce high-precision parts for various industries promptly.

You must be able to read blueprints and work orders for product specifications (dimensions and tolerances), interpret tooling instructions (fixtures and feed rates), and determine the optimal sequence of operations.

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Machine Operation: Set up, program, and operate CNC machines (including CNC boring bars, CNC vertical boring mills, and CNC lathes). Machine parts to exact specifications based on detail prints or instructions.
Setup & Tooling: Set up tooling, workpieces, and CNC machine offsets as needed. Maintain measuring and setup tools common to the machinist trade.
Data Tracking: Record part setup and run-time through Proshop for job time tracking.
Workflow Management: Monitor due dates on process sheets, complete work as scheduled, and deliver parts to other workstations in the plant as necessary.
Quality Control: Perform strict quality checks on all manufactured parts (internal or external processes).
Collaboration: Provide verbal and written feedback to the manufacturing group. Cross-train on various positions or equipment as required.
Shop Safety & Maintenance: Maintain the safety and cleanliness of your work area daily (trash, coolant, etc.). Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor.
Flexibility: Work occasional overtime when requested.
Level Classifications & Advanced Skills:

We welcome all experience levels to apply. Expert Candidates are distinguished by the following advanced technical abilities:

Experience running 3-axis and 5-axis machines.
Advanced programming directly from solid models using Fusion 360 (CAM Software).
Ability to routinely hold tight tolerances of $\pm .0005$.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

Technical Skills: G-code programming is a strict requirement. Proficiency with CAM software is highly helpful and preferred.
Experience: Setting up, programming, and machining experience preferred (specifically with Fanuc and Heidenhain controls).
Education: High school diploma required; Technical degree preferred.
Capabilities: Strong understanding of shop mathematics, metal properties, and layout. Must have good manual and verbal dexterity with the ability to work independently.

Paid Time Off (PTO):
Vacation: Accumulation based on a 40-hour work week.
Less than 2 years: 40 hours
2 to 5 years: 80 hours
5+ years: 120 hours (Max 120 hours can be carried over).
Personal/Sick Leave: Up to 40+ hours yearly based on years of service (prorated based on start date; does not carry over).
Paid Holidays (9 Days): New Year's Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving (2 days), Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, plus 1 Floating Holiday.

Paid Funeral Leave: Provided for the loss of immediate family members (parent, mother/father-in-law, spouse, child, sibling).
