Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Header Machine Operator to join a fast-paced manufacturing team. This position is responsible for setting up, operating, and troubleshooting production equipment to manufacture precision metal components while maintaining high standards for quality, safety, and productivity.

Schedule: 2nd Shift
Monday-Friday

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate heading and forming equipment according to production requirements.
• Perform machine adjustments and troubleshooting to ensure efficient operation and minimal downtime.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, work orders, and manufacturing instructions.
• Conduct in-process inspections using measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other inspection tools.
• Monitor product quality and make necessary adjustments to maintain specifications.
• Accurately record production, setup, and quality data.
• Identify and report equipment, tooling, material, or process concerns.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and replace worn tooling when necessary.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production goals and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist with training and mentoring new employees as needed.

Required:

• 3+ years of machine operation and setup experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Experience using precision measuring and inspection equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred:

• Experience with metal forming, heading, stamping, or similar manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of production equipment setup and tooling adjustments.
• Background in precision manufacturing environments.
