Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking a dependable CNC Machinist to join a manufacturing operation in Tulsa. This position is responsible for setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes, monitoring machine performance, inspecting finished components, and maintaining consistent quality throughout production.
Previous CNC machining experience is preferred, but motivated entry-level candidates with strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn will also be considered. Experience with Haas mills and lathes is a plus.

Required Experience & Skills
CNC machining experience preferred but not required

Ability to operate or learn CNC mills and lathes
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
Ability to accurately use precision measuring equipment
Strong attention to detail and dimensional accuracy
Ability to monitor equipment and identify potential machining concerns

Ability to follow established manufacturing and safety procedures
Dependable attendance and punctuality

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Set up CNC mills and lathes for assigned production jobs
Operate CNC machining equipment safely and efficiently
Review work instructions before beginning production
Read and interpret blueprints and manufacturing drawings
Load materials and components into CNC equipment
Monitor machining operations throughout production runs
Identify unusual machine conditions or performance concerns
Make applicable machine adjustments as needed
Measure completed parts using precision inspection equipment
Inspect finished products for dimensional accuracy and workmanship
Identify parts that do not meet required quality standards
Maintain consistent production output while meeting quality requirements
Perform routine machine maintenance
Keep machines and surrounding work areas clean and organized
Follow all company safety and manufacturing procedures
Perform additional machining and production duties as assigned
CNC Mill & Lathe Responsibilities
Candidates may work with:
CNC mills
CNC lathes
Machine tooling
Fixtures and workholding

Finished machined components
Machine controls
Precision measuring equipment
Experience with Haas CNC mills and lathes is a plus.
Blueprint & Work Instruction Responsibilities
Read and interpret manufacturing blueprints
Review applicable drawings and work instructions
Identify required dimensions and tolerances
Follow established machining requirements
Verify finished parts against applicable specifications
Communicate drawing or production concerns to appropriate personnel
Precision Measurement & Quality
Candidates should be comfortable using or learning to use:
Calipers
Micrometers
Other precision measuring instruments
Responsibilities include:
Measuring finished components
Verifying critical dimensions
Inspecting parts for quality
Identifying dimensional discrepancies
Monitoring consistency throughout production runs
Preventing nonconforming parts from continuing through production
Machine Maintenance
Perform routine machine checks
Keep machines clean and ready for operation
Maintain clean workholding and production areas
Identify equipment concerns
Report maintenance issues promptly
Help prevent unnecessary machine downtime through proper equipment care
Entry-Level Candidates
Experienced Machinists are preferred, but motivated entry-level candidates may also be considered.
Strong entry-level candidates should demonstrate:
Mechanical aptitude
Willingness to learn CNC machining
Strong math and measurement abilities

Preferred Qualifications
Previous CNC Machinist experience
CNC Mill Operator experience
CNC Lathe Operator experience
Haas mill experience

Blueprint-reading experience
Caliper and micrometer experience
Manufacturing or machine shop experience
Mechanical or technical training
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift
Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, carrying, and positioning
Manual dexterity required for machine setup and precision measurement
Ability to safely handle raw materials and machined components
Comfortable working around CNC machinery, tooling, and production equipment
Ability to safely perform assigned duties while wearing required PPE
Work Environment
Climate-controlled manufacturing environment
Regular operation of CNC mills and lathes
Hands-on position involving machining, measurement, inspection, and equipment care
Detail-oriented production environment requiring consistent dimensional accuracy
