Job Title: CNC Machinist - Multi-Axis (2nd Shift)
Compensation: $28.00-$38.00.00/hr (includes shift differential)

Position Overview
This role is ideal for a true machinist who understands CNC milling, tooling, feeds and speeds, chip management, and process optimization in a high-volume production environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality precision components while maximizing efficiency, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Program, setup and operate multi-axis CNC machines (3-, 4- and 5-axis and mill-turn/multi-tasking machines) to produce parts to print and work orders.
- Interpret engineering drawings and apply Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) to verify critical features and tolerances.
- Set up, operate, and adjust CNC milling equipment for production runs
- Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and manufacturing drawings
- Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment
- Make tooling, offset, feed, and speed adjustments to maintain quality and production targets
- Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and equipment issues to reduce downtime
- Monitor tool life and recommend process improvements
- Utilize High Efficiency Milling (HEM) principles to improve cycle times, chip control, and overall machining performance
- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to improve throughput and reduce scrap
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of CNC machining experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
- Strong CNC milling setup and operation experience
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T
- Experience with precision measuring instruments and quality inspections
- Strong understanding of tooling, feeds/speeds, offsets, chip management, and tool life optimization
- Ability to troubleshoot machining processes and improve efficiency
- Experience working in a high-volume production environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- High Efficiency Milling (HEM) experience
- Fanuc, Siemens, or Heidenhain controls experience
- Aerospace, medical device, automotive, industrial manufacturing, or other precision-machining background
- Technical trade school, machining certification, or apprenticeship training
